The Neurologists are a production group from Ny that has been producing records since 1998.--It was originally three members(Onedae/Dj Paws and Mr.Boody(Last name) 2 producers/Djs and one Mc-They released a vinyl Ep in 1998 entitled, Systematic Sensitization which had the the hit underground single, Iron Fist Dynasty and b side Artificial Intelligence. The single generated a strong buzz in the underground communities of BostonJapan and Germany. The record self released and distributed by Landspeed. As a result the group was invited toGermany on the Lyracist Lounge tour in 1999 alongside Matrix and Freestyle(Arsonists) Connects were made with super German producer Roy Marqui and 9 shows were slayed. Note Mr. Boody aka Jiz markie didnt attend the tour due to interning for Shaggy (HC+F recording Studio Long Island alongside Phillip Smart) and getting the Jamaican Bumbaclots Sandwiches and cornmuffin. Neurologists also opened up for Group Home, Artifacts,High and mighty-Afu Ra at Nys largest Venues. The group then followed up with the Exposure Ep which had the single Aquabatix and Four Seasons. The Ep was finally played in NY by Dj Eclipse and passed on to college Djs worldwide. During this time a young UndergroundHiphop.com was spawning and Onedae was holding 2 top spots for extensive time periods-(note all onedae vinyl releases moved a couple thousand vinyls copies independently. In 2000 they recorded with nearly all the local underground rappers and groups including Dalek, Acelover, Level X, K the I etc. and built a reputation amongst the early Nuyorican Underground scene when Natural elements and Mc Serch were out there wearing bookbags. Onedae decided to be a solo artist and leave the Neurologists to be a production duo. They recorded a series of projects, Neurologists-Enlightenment Ep(which featured Lighttwister with Onedae and Matrix with the electrifying cuts from Dj DP One-It was supposed to be released on a German label but then it folded leaving the material to be old. Being frustrated by this and other bad label offers that offered 2 year delays of material, they started their own Imprint, Edified Gems. The Neurologists recorded, No Future August 44.2007 which spawned reviews, Airplay, publishing checks and the Infamous Gold Sticker. (Note the Neurologists were more known for the sticker than the music-over 5000 across 5 boroughs)-It was the first Instrumental Installment from the Neurologists with only a few vocal cuts. Onedae then released a 12inch vinyl single (Clearing) produced by the Neurologists. (It is still available on UndergroundHipHop.com) The full Length Onedae- Geminis curse soon followed with additional production by the Bronx Monx. During this time the Neurologists produced another record for Tes One (Lex records) Sound Investments remix and did work on Take home tes EP(Waveforms). Onedae then released another vinyl single-(Target Practice/Livin Killin) The Neurologists then recorded a series of Instrumental masterpieces and The Toymakers Cabinet was born which is still unreleased to this day. Other skeleton projects like Killbots -75th anniversary are in the files. They also produced a vinyl cut for Id Obelus which ended up on Subversiv records.Offbeaters Vol 2.1 (12 inch Vinyl)(Germany) The duo then split in 2004. Dj Paws then went on to score independent films and landed tracks on Cartoon Network. Mr. Boody produced an album for local Mc Steve Austin called Infinity Gems. Songs from this album appeared on many compilations from Cellarnoise to Free magazine.(Steve Austin also toured extensively and wrote for various magazines including Trace) They decided to team up as a duo and call themselves Electric Fence. They released a 12inch single in 2005 called Ferocious and has received thousands of downloads and heavy college radio airplay including legendary NY radio Underground Railroad, Future Flavas, Stony brook ( Dj Cut Supreme) and has been played worldwide including Satellite Radio (Mickey Knox),Halftime(Dj eclipse), Abstract (NYU) Steve Austin has toured London/Canada and Poland promoting the single. In a sweltering summer in the City That Never Sleeps Steven Oxley was born to a life destined for creativity. Hip-Hop is burned deep in the double helix of his DNA as is evidenced in his many creative talents. At the tender age of twelve his creative spark was fanned into a life long fire burning for expression and experimentation in the arts. First and foremost he is an MC and a Rapper. His skills were honed under the expert tutelage of The Rhythm Rocker, Omar Islam and Brother Mentor of the BBB Militia (all of whom were also the founding members of The Universal Zulu Nation Miami Chapter).

Oxley, under the nom de plum Steve Austin, would garner respect on the streets of New York City and beyond on his journey towards his chosen path. Steve Austin was known to tear apart all contenders in ciphers and open mics and gained a reputation as being a rapper that was metaphysical and eccentric in his rhymes and ruthless in his persistence. Steve Austin commanded the respect of many publications and has graced the pages of The Miami Herald, Free, Mass Appeal, Trace, Goods and many others nationally and abroad.

His flow and chatter have allowed him to privilege the stages of venues in diverse Metropolitan communities such as New York City, London, Montreal, Miami, and Warsaw. In 2005 Oxley teamed up with the Neurologists to form the group Electric Fence. This collaboration culminated in the 12’ Record Ferocious as well as the Electric Fence LP. He has opened, collaborated, and/or performed with many and varied acts including, but not limited to, Modern Talking, Percee P, The Mercenaries, The High & Mighty, Neurologists, MC 3D, Ace Gutta (Ace Lover), Thirstin Howl III, Rahzel, Lordz of Brooklyn, Keith Murray, DJ Paws, NYC Lase, Afu Ra, Tede and Cappadonna. He has blessed the televisions of many homes worldwide on the stations MTV Poland, TV Poland, Viva Video Channel, and Bucktown U.S.A. He has also recently become involved with the New York Group Decepticons and has been ushered into their fold under tag of Trapbox.

Oxley’s intense and vast knowledge of music makes him a walking encyclopedia of musical knowledge which makes him an ideal host. As a DJ, he has released his mixed CD Midnight Special composed of his favorite party jams, and was a frequent co-host on EastVillageRadio.com’s No Hoes Bored. In the summer of 2008 Steve along with longtime friends and collaborators The Neurologists and Brandon Melendez started the New York Originals. As New York Original’s Steve 1989, Oxley has interviewed names big and small from Hip-Hop’s past present and future from the underground and the mainstream. Notable guests have included Chuck D, Blahzay Blahzay, and Persia from Vh1’s The White Rapper Show, among many others.

Aside from his musical influences Steven Oxley is a creative writer and poet. His Poetry has been featured in numerous anthologies and a spoken word compilation CD; all which were released by the Library of Poetry. He is also involved in a graphic novel/album project currently titled The Nexus Key. He mans the helms of his own company, Ebony Jewels Creative, as its C.E.O. and proprietor when he’s not in the studio, cracking jokes, or verbally abusing heifers on purely emotional scale. He also has been in talks with various gyms to train as a professional wrestler under the pseudonym 3P Steve Sancho (Peak Performance Personified); though he will only pursue this avenue if the right training conditions are met. At the end of the day Oxley’s main focus remains music and self edification and his future remains bright and unparalleled as he travels along his road to glory.
